Jordan Rakei - On Tour this autumn 2019

With a handful of highly acclaimed releases in his sleeve, peppered with a timeless, soulful jazz and hip-hip sound, the 26-year-old multi-instrumentalist, singer and producer is an extraordinary talent. Born in a sleepy New Zealand town, Jordan Rakei spent most of his childhood in Brisbane, Australia. In 2014 his EP »Groove Curse« was especially celebrated in North America and Europe and so he moved to London, 16,000 kilometers away. Through collaborations with Tom Misch and Disclosure he quickly made a name for himself in the scene. In 2016 he released his debut album »Cloak« on his own, which made big waves not least because of its unique sound. Joint productions with Barney Artist, Alfa Mist, Loyle Carner and jazz drummer Richard Spaven followed. Under the pseudonym Dan Kye Bradley Zero released with his label Rhythm Section Jordan’s EP »Joy, Ease, Lightness« and also Bonobo featured on »Fabric presents Bonobo« a Dan Kye track. In 2017 he released »Wallflower«, his most personal album so far. Obviously inspired by dystopian visions of the future, the new album “Origin” deals primarily with technological progress and its direct effects on humanity. On 14.6. the newest work of him will be released via Ninja Tune. In October Jordan Rakei goes on a world tour and comes to Germany for 3 shows.
