Ben Vida (Musicians)
Ben Vida is an American sound artist and composer from New York City. He also works under the name Bird Show. Together with Joshua Abrams, Liz Payne and Jim Dorling he formed the band Town & Country from 1998 to 2006. With Hisham Bharoocha he formed the duo Soft Circle. He collaborated also with Keith Fullerton Whitman, Greg Davis, Siebren Versteeg, Doug Aitken, Nadia Hironaka and Mathew Suib and played in ensembles of Tony Conrad, Rhys Chattam and Werner Dafeldecker. As an impoviser he has performed with Milo Fine, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Chad Taylor, Kevin Drumm, Yamatsuka Eye or C. Spencer Yeh. Overall he released more then 20 records on labels like Thrill Jockey, Drag City, PAN, Amish, Bottrop-Boy, Häpna and Kranky.
