Tramp Records (Record label)
Tramp Records is a German record label based in Fahrenzhausen, founded by Tobias Krimeyer and specialized in funk, soul and afrobeat. When founded it was the only label in Germany that applied itself on legal re-releases of not available 7 "singles. So Tramp Records is not only a platform, that helps lost or overlooked music to new honors but also makes a decisive contribution to the vinyl culture in Germany. Despite some acclaimed compilations like the »Movements« and the »Contemporary« series or also »Ancestors of Rap« and some albums, until today the vinyl singles are the basis of the work of Tramp Records. Besides in the recent years Kirmeyer disvovers more and more contemporary soul and funk bands like The Boogaloos, The Qualitons or The Hi-Fly Orchestra.
