How are sounds connected to sight? Artists use album covers, videos, installations and art works to strengthen their audio message or to create whole new layers. Seeing sounds concentrates purely on the aesthetics of an artist. The usual focus on music is put on hold while we discuss music videos, album covers, visual concepts and ideas. We talk to the American musician and artist Toro Y Moi about his album covers, newest videos and tendency to connect sounds with colors.

Systematised change in style
Panda Bear has found his niche in the broad space of pop music by turning complex music into radio-compatible sound. He proved so both as a member of Animal Collective and four years ago with Person Pitch. Also, his roaring Tomboy maintains the splits between popularity and vanguard change in style. Nevertheless, some things have changed: »Why stick to the things that IÂ´ve already tried?«
