Equinox Records (Record label)
Equinox Records is a Berlin-based record label, founded in Munich in 2002 by Günter Stöppel (DJ Scientist). Equinox Records specializes in electronica, hip hop and psychedelic rock and sees itself in the tradition of breakbeat/downbeat labels of the 1990s including Ninja Tune and Mo’ Wax. It is also widely known for its original artworks and rare vinyl formats. Equinox has released the usual 12-inches and 7-inches, but as well 10-inches and even 5-inches. Furthermore Equinox run the the sub label Audiac for years that specialized in more classic hip hop music.
