They say that you should never meet your heroes and Mabe Fratti and Bill Orcutt never really did—their surprising collaborative album Almost Waking was recorded remotely, with the Guatemalan cellist and singer adding her touches to the anarcho-guitarist’s idiosyncratic compositions after the fact.
