Damos Room – All Shall Go

The debut by Damos Room—Huw Oleskar a.k.a Elijah Minnelli, Luke Miles, and Nicholas Elson—moves between abstract hip-hop, lo-fi dub, and experimental electronics in such sparse and abrasive ways that the question may be asked: Is this, strictly speaking, music? All Shall Go offers barely a rhythm or melody—even when an MC takes over, this doesn’t result in recognisable song structures. Drawing on a long tradition from Adrian Sherwood to Young Echo, Damos Room care less about making music. They create vibes. Damn fine ones.
