Her second solo album Wearing Words is, unsurprisingly, a communal affair—Sandro Hähnel’s operatic vocal contributions tie together unconventional chamber pop pieces that draw from distinct musical forms and ideas across hundreds of years. These are rich, complex songs that still tug at the heartstrings. What an achievement.
