Expansive pads, a pulsating bassline and soft keys flood the four tracks on this EP, which oscillate between emotive dancefloor melodies and introspection. Lawrence, a pioneer of ambient techno from Hamburg, is behind these beautiful productions. There is nothing crazy about it, nothing strikingly new, and yet this work, called “Gravity Hill”, is so touching.
