Linda Perhacs – Parallelograms

First ignored, then sampled by Biggie, “Parallelograms” has come a long way. It is Linda Perhacs’ first album, released in 1970, and no one was interested in it at the time. Discouraged, Perhacs resumed her career as a dental hygienist. The result must have been some excellent dental work, judging by the sensitivity that Perhacs displays on ‘Parallelograms’: this fragile, melancholy folk is easily on a par with the likes of Joan Baez or Joni Mitchell.
