Pessimists lament: the 2020s have just three and a half years left to produce an original style of electronic music. Yu Su may not change that, but on Foundry, the Chinese producer collages and amalgamates existing elements in such a way that it passes for ‘new’. Ambient, acid, minimal, glitch and, above all, dub-techno textures collide in a wide variety of combinations. And the post-rock electronic act Seefeel are featured as guests.
