Glitch hop is a subgenre of instrumental hip-hop that emerged in the 2000s, combining hip-hop beats with glitch electronica, IDM elements and experimental sampling techniques. It is characterised by fragmented rhythms, digital artefacts, shifted grooves and complex layered soundscapes.
