Flying Lotus – Limited Edtion: »Flamagra Instrumentals«

27.04.20
One year after »Flamagra« Flying Lotus presents the »Flamagra Instrumentals«. It shows that Steven Ellison not only knows how to put the vocalists in the right light, but is first and foremost an outstanding composer.

Almost exactly one year to the day after Flying Lotus released his stunning album »Flamagra«, the musician from Los Angeles will follow up with a new release on May 29th, 2020. With »Flamagra«, Steven Ellison has not only proven his versatility, but he could also show that he is up to any feature. Be it George Clinton, Toro y Moi, Denzel Curry, Anderson. Paak or Litte Dragon, to each performer he seemed to have built a suitable musical body. With »Flamagra Instrumentals« Flying Lotus now shows that music works without vocal accompaniment. So the focus is absolutely on the compositions. And the squad of guest musicians is still impressive: Thundercat Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Brandon Coleman, Justin Brown, Dennis Hamm, Taylor Graves, Ronald Bruner, Herbie Hancock Deantoni Parks and Robert Glasper The Vinyl 2LP will be available in a limited edition including a Slipmate that works like a zoetrope, whose magic unfolds when it spins on your turntable.
