Godfather Don will release his new album »Thesis« on August 30, 2024 on our HHV label. It is the first since »Osmosis« from 2020 that he has recorded with French producer Parental. This time Parental did the mixing for »Thesis«. The scratches are by Debonair P. Otherwise, Godfather Don has everything else musically in his own hands here, both in terms of the production and the raps, whose blunt, uncompromising style is influenced by Chuck D or KMD. The album contains a total of 16 tracks. »Definite« was chosen as the first single.
Bushwick’s gritty minutes
Godfather Don is known for his production of the album »The Four Horsemen« by Ultramagnetic MC’s from 1993 and for his collaboration with Kool Keith, including as The Cenobites in the mid-90s, as well as with Screwball with Blaq Poet. His unjustly neglected solo debut »Hazardous« was released on Select Records in 1991.
