Alan Lomax

Alan Lomax (1915 – 2002) was an American ethnomusicologist from Austin, Texas. He was the son of the musicologist John A. Lomax and he stepped into his shoes. Lomax researched the origins of the American folk music around the world. His merit in the traditional folk music makes him one of the most important figures in contemporary music history.
