DJ Shadow (Joshua Paul Davis, b. 1972) is an American producer and DJ from San Jose. His debut album Endtroducing (1996) was the first fully sample-based record in the history of music and is regarded as a classic album of hip hop music. DJ Shadow is also co-founder of the hip hop collective and record label Quannum Projects.
