Jim Coleman (b. 1964) is a musician from New York and a founding member of the bands Cop Shoot Cop and Human Impact. As bassist and keyboardist, he shaped the sound of both groups, which combined industrial, post-punk and noise rock. Cop Shoot Cop (1986–1994) was known for aggressive music and socially critical lyrics. In Human Impact (2019), he continued to create intense music and remains a key figure in the alternative rock scene.
