No Wave

**No Wave is an experimental subgenre of post-punk that emerged in New York in the late 1970s. The scene was anti-commercial in nature and combined influences from noise, free jazz, performance art and minimalism. It was characterized by atonal structures, aggressive rhythms, and conceptual radicalism.
