Onkyō

Onkyō is an experimental music genre from Japan that emerged in the late 1990s around the Off Site club in Tokyo. It is characterized by extreme reduction, subtle sound changes, quiet textures and a strong focus on space, silence and resonance. Proponents such as Toshimaru Nakamura and Sachiko M often use reduced electronics or feedback loops.
