British multi-instrumentalist, rapper and producer Alfa Mist is coming to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for a few dates this autumn as part of his Bring Backs Live Tour. Although the Newham-born artist focused mainly on hip-hop and grime in his youth, he soon picked up on the rich history of jazz and incorporated it into his compositions. Over time, he used this to develop his very own production style and is now known for mixing hip-hop with jazz improvisation in his music. Alfa Mist first taught himself to produce his own beats as a school kid in East Ham. Sampling hip-hop tracks from producers like Hi-tek or Madlib, he discovered his love for jazz and eventually learned to play the piano self-taught in order to analyse and understand these formative pieces of music.
