Derya Yıldırım and Grup Şimşek announce their fourth album »Yarın Yoksa«

22.01.2025

Derya Yıldırım sings in Turkish and plays the bağlama. Together with Grup Şimşek and their members Graham Mushnik, Antonin Voyant and Helen Wells, with roots in France and South Africa, she creates a unique sound. On their fourth album, they unfold a sonic spectacle that transcends genres and borders. »Yarın Yoksa« – which means »When there is no tomorrow« – captures the profound themes of loss, longing and hope, brought to life by the powerful voice of Derya Yıldırım.

Outernational not International

The album remains true to its Anatolian sound heritage, but also incorporates influences from psychedelic, jazz and pop. They call it outernational instead of international, hinting at a sound that transcends borders. A limited clear purple smoke vinyl edition of »Yarın Yoksa« will be available exclusively from HHV Records.
