On 16 February 2026, Flammer Dance Band will turn Hamburg’s Knust into a sweltering funk universe, followed by Berlin’s Urban Spree on 17 February. What began in Norway as a tight-knit breakdance crew has become one of Europe’s most energetic live collectives: a seven-piece band that fuses vintage synths, ecstatic percussion and grooves from the outer cosmos into one vibrating whole.
Intergalactic madness
With their most recent album Gynger, the band has established itself as a singular presence somewhere between funk, psychedelia and improvisational freedom. Their music is danceable and playful, yet marked by a trippy depth that extends far beyond the floor. In their live shows, stages transform into spaces of collective movement, where everything vibrates and nothing remains static.
Flammer Dance Band channel the energy of Afrobeat into the present, mixing it with Nordic coolness and a touch of madness. Anyone wondering what the soundtrack to an intergalactic funk storm might feel like is in exactly the right place.
