King Krule brings his new album and all his feelings on the road

05.09.2023

Kids, how time flies! The eternally young King Krule has also been a household name when it comes to indie for ten years now. He was 18 when his LP debut »6 Feet Beneath The Moon« came out in 2013 and King Krule surprised not only with his characteristic gruff but voluminous voice, but also with lyrics between gloom and anger and the fusion of alt-rock, nu jazz and trip-hop. Now – ten years and three studio albums later – the penchant for deep emotions and jazzy compositions has remained. King Krule’s current work »Space Heavy«, however, also reflects his development over the last decade. It covers themes of his fatherhood, displeasure about social tensions and love relationships that are still not always harmonious.

Raw, snottier, live!

The live album »You Heat Me Up, You Cool Me Down«, released in 2021, gives an idea of how the sometimes melancholic, sometimes stirring songs of the Londoner sound in concert. There, the guitars sound even rougher, the voice even snottier and the saxophone howls more furiously than the studio versions. If you don’t want to miss the show on October 21, 2023 at the Carlswerk Victoria in Cologne and on October 26, 2023 at the Columbiahalle in Berlin, you’ll find a small foretaste of the upcoming emotional chaos.
