They’ve taken their time, but the time has finally come: on January 26, 2024, Oum Shatt will release »Opt Out«, the eagerly awaited follow-up to their celebrated 2016 debut. The Berlin based band made up of (ex-)members of Kissogram, Fenster, Die Türen, Golden Showers, Michael Knight and Peaches were both a critics’ favourite and in demand internationally from the very beginning: awarded Song of the Year and acclaimed at South By Southwest in Texas, Les Transmusicales in France and Electric Picnic in Ireland.
Pop-rock from all directions
Whether no wave with Arabic elements or surf rock with Greek rembetiko – the influences are as diverse and sometimes obscure as their sound is unique and exciting.The singles »Play!« and »Off To St. Pete«, which have already been released, are impressive proof of this and have the album drop eagerly awaited. »Opt Out« is available exclusively from HHV on blue vinyl. And they’re going on tour at the end of February.
