Logic System – Reissued: »Venus«

09.07.2020
The album »Venus«, first released in 1981, by Hideki Matsutake alias Loi’gic System, who plays with the Yellow Magic Orchestra, is now being reissued via Wewantsounds. Exclusively at HHV Records in a limited edition.

Wewantsounds reissues the Japanese synthwave pearl »Venus« by Hideki Matsutake aka Logic System – and one wonders: how much retro chic from the 1980s can the future take? If it goes to Matsutake, everyone will be shuffling around in washed-out carrot pants again tomorrow, watching Japanese game shows and arguing about whether Kraftwerk or the Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) have put electronic music on track. Matsutake knows his truth. After all, he was in business in 1981. After Isao Tomita turned space into a place, he went into the studio with Ryuichi Sakamoto and went on tour with YMO. On the side, a few albums with his own project went out. »Venus« shocks the vaporwave heads of modern times, grinds at the speed of light from space via Ambient over funk-meets fusion jazz on the Balearic Islands and even pedals on the organ. At HHV Records you can get the record in an exclusive edition limited to 100 copies.
