With their frenetic debut 45 Pounds, the New York noise-rock quartet YHWH Nailgun made a big impact in the spring – in just twenty minutes, but with a remarkable density. On October 8, 2025 they will bring their set to Berlin’s Urban Spree.

Compact bobbin lace, airy play
It can be assumed that the compact yet airy interplay of noise, punk and electronic textures on the album will be improvised again live – otherwise the concert would be over after a good 20 minutes. A good dose of unpredictability and calculated chaos is to be expected. Drummer Sam Pickard, who understands polyrhythms, will capture it all again: Zack Borzone‘s idiosyncratic vocals and Saguiv Rosenstock‘s guitar playing, which is full of unusual sounds. Pickard plays as if he has ten arms and is not quite of this world. It is fitting that YHWH is pronounced “Yahweh” – like the Hebrew name of God.
