Forget your melatonin drops! Teresa Winter is the sleeping pill, or rather: her music. That has always been the case, really! And I address this, of course, to all those smart alecks who are now rummaging through their cassette collections for the very first Teresa Winter tapes. Don’t get me wrong: it’s a compliment. Teresa Winter has been making fantastic music for a long time. But with »Proserpine« she has become even more fantastic. That means I fall asleep wonderfully to it. And that’s actually the best thing that can happen to you these days— a long power nap in the morning. All the top performers say so. And they’ll be all ears here. Teresa Winter? Oh yeah, we know her! They lie and secretly put her on their soulless 10-hour rainforest deforestation playlist. Teresa Winter has no place there. But what the hell? The main thing is to listen to her! And you can only congratulate them, because… Teresa Winter’s first release on Night School is a truly beautiful thing: a ghost opera, breathed and field recorded, with fireworks and all the trimmings. No wonder it receives 12 points from Dschörmäni aka Germany!
