Zara

4th Arc EP

Spazio Disponibile • 2026

Spazio Disponibile heads Donato Dozzy and Neel welcome DJ and producer Zara Olson as a new artist on their label. The Australian, now based in London, makes her debut with idiosyncratic techno experiments that drive things forward with subtle emotional force. The title track sounds like a composition from Nommos by Craig Leon that has somehow wandered into the club and spiritualised techno in the process. A large-scale hypnosis powered by a shaking bass force, it unfolds less through sudden eruptions than through steady intensification.

Issued here in a live version, »Plastique« delivers maniacal tribal trance with an industrial-drone edge. »Orb« and »Quartz« are more traditional by comparison: warm, propulsive techno with a few cheeky edges and abrasions buried deep in the percussive space. Digitally, there is also a fully produced and more pointed version of »Plastique« as a bonus. A successful first outing on the Roman label, and one that impressively underlines just how open to development techno still is.
