J Dilla (Kames Dewitt Yancey, 1974-2006) is an American producer, MC and DJ from Detroit. He is the older brother of Illa J. J Dilla was a member of Slum Village and formed the duo Jaylib with producer Madlib. He is regarded as one of the most influential hip hop producers of all time.
