James Blake (born James Blake Litherland in London in 1988) is a British musician, producer and singer. He first gained recognition through electronic releases in the dubstep and post-dubstep scene, before establishing a blend of electronic production and singer-songwriter aesthetics with his self-titled debut album James Blake (2011). Later albums such as Overgrown and Assume Form expand on this approach with influences from soul and pop.
