On 17 November 2025, the Berlin venue Gretchen will host a true icon of modern jazz: Gary Bartz. Since the 1960s, the saxophonist has shaped the genre, performing alongside legends such as Miles Davis, Art Blakey and Pharoah Sanders, while developing a distinctive style bridging hard bop, soul jazz and spiritually charged sonic explorations.
