Stella Zekri‘s DJing is more than just changing tracks: she creates atmospheres in which feelings flow between the dancers and spaces grow organically. She fills every room with intuitive flair, her sets interweave body and mind, leaving behind stories that become deeply engraved in the body’s memory. Between warm grooves and carefully selected vinyl tracks, a lightness unfolds that can only be felt, not learned.

Born in Paris, Stella Zekri moved to Berlin ten years ago – a move that broadened her musical horizons. Initially influenced by hip-hop, soul, jazz and funk, her sonic cosmos soon opened up to house, disco and electronic club music. Her first gigs in bars taught her the technical skills, but the real school for her was the dance floor: dancing taught her which energy carries an evening and which moments last.
Variety, openness and organic sound
With her record collection under her arm and a keen sense of mood, Stella Zekri grew naturally into her role as a DJ. In 2021, she founded the Body Language party series, where openness is more important than genre boundaries. International and local acts work together to create spaces where musical diversity is not only promised, but lived – in the music, the lineup, and the crowd.

Détends-Toi
With her band project Stella and the Longos, she released the EP Détends-toi in 2022, which creates a sound world between boogie, Caribbean zouk and pop elements – last mentioned as Détends-toi. Today she plays not only in top Berlin clubs like the Panorama Bar, but also in metropolises like New York, London and Paris. Whether behind the decks or on her monthly breakfast show on Refuge Worldwide: Her sound is organic, physical, sensual and soulful all at once – a quality that is often lacking in club culture, but desperately needed.
