Holy Hive from Brooklyn, New York are Homer Steinweiss, who has swung his sticks for Lady Gaga, Adele, Amy Winehouse and Bruno Mars, and folk singer Paul Spring. The latter’s soaring falsetto vocals also give Holy Hive’s musical folk-soul blend a very special unique character. The two musicians are supported on their second album by musical guests such as harpist Mary Lattimore, Fleet Foxes’ singer Robin Pecknold, trumpeter Dave Guy (The Roots, The Dap-Kings), as well as musicians from Antibalas, El Michaels Affair and The Shacks. While Steinweiss and Spring were still preoccupied with love and good feelings in the lyrics of their 2020 debut »Float Back To You,« they sing about more personal things and »life« on “Holy Hive,” due out September 27, 2021 on Big Crown.
Exclusively at HHV Records, the record is available as a special edition limited to 350 copies on blue vinyl.
