Joell Ortiz & Kxng Crooked – Exclusive Edition: »H.A.R.D.«

29.06.20
Joell Ortiz and Kxng Crooked (aka Crooked I), both from the rap supergroup Slaughterhouse have announced a new album on Mello Music with »H.A.R.D.«. Vinyl will follow in September. We have a strictly limited colour edition in our assortment.

Their paths crossed for the first time on the cover of XXL Magazine when Brooklyn-based rapper Joell Ortiz and Los Angeles-born Dominick Wickliffe aka KXNG Crooked were both voted Freshmen of the Year in 2008. While Wickliffe continued his career at Death Row Records after a brief 17-year-old contract with Virgin, Joell Ortiz was signed by Dr. Dre for Aftermath Entertainment. Together they were part of the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse, which released on Eminem’s Shady Records label until 2018. After both of them just made a feature appearance on Eminem’s new album »Music To Be Murdered By«, »H.A.R.D.«, short for »Housing Authority Rap District«, is the next chapter in the great West-Coast-East-Coast bridging act. Produced by The Heatmakerz, Erick Sermon, Apollo Brown, Illmind and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, among others, an extremely profound hip hop album has been created, dedicated to Fred The Godson, who died in April of a Covid 19 illness. The HHV Exclusive edition is limited to 150 copies in coloured vinyl.
