Phoebe Bridgers first hinted at her solo comeback with unannounced club shows, then with a short-notice headline concert at Madison Square Garden; now comes the album to go with it. On 14 August, Lost Weekend, her first solo album in six years, will be released via Dead Oceans. In Europe, a limited Enceladus Geysers vinyl edition will be available exclusively through HHV. The release arrives one month before the start of the Lost Tour and follows on from Punisher.

Intimacy in widescreen

With Lost Weekend, Bridgers continues the sound of Punisher while also expanding it with new facets. Intimate folk moments stand alongside wide-ranging, cinematic arrangements featuring numerous guests, among them Alex G, Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, Jack Antonoff, Caroline Shaw, Nate Walcott and Blake Mills.

The lead single »Lost Boys« combines discreet electronic accents with opulent instrumentation and finely worked melodies. The lyrics circle, in language that is both direct and ambiguous, around failed images of masculinity and emotional dependencies, while the big chorus and elaborately staged music video mark the song out as a harbinger of the album.
