Fotografiska Berlin celebrates 50 years of hip-hop with the exhibition »Hip-Hop: Conscious, Unconscious,« featuring more than 200 iconic photographs by over 50 photographers including Martha Cooper, Jonathan Mannion, Campbell Addy, Janette Beckman, and T. Eric Monroe from September 20, 2024 to January 26, 2025. The international portion of the exhibition was curated by Sacha Jenkins (Mass Appeal Records) and Sally Berman (Hearst Visual Group). An additional focus is on hip-hop in Germany, curated by Yolandé Gouws, Davide Bortot, Miriam Davoudvandi, and Ron Schindler (aka DJ Ron) in close collaboration with Götz Gottschalk and Bryan Vit of the Freies Hip-Hop Institut Heidelberg.

Opening party
The exhibition kicks off with a party on September 20, 2024, co-hosted by Urban Logic. Together with host Harris, the four pillars of hip-hop – DJing, rap, breakdancing and graffiti – will be celebrated.
