The Brazilian musician Sessa will tour Germany in February 2026, presenting his new album Pequena Vertigem De Amor, released on 7 November 2025 via Mexican Summer. From 17 to 20 February 2026 he will play in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne. His music remains deeply rooted in the traditions of Tropicália and bossa nova, while opening itself to new tonal shades.

A few extra pirouettes

Supple pop songs that nod towards Tropicália and bossa nova, carried by Afro-Brazilian rhythms and near-whispered vocals: Sessa’s gently unhurried sound world had, across two albums, been staged with deliberate minimalism. But on Pequena Vertigem De Amor he turns a few new switches – introducing, for instance, a wah-wah guitar for the first time. Synthesisers also find their way into his sonic universe, while the strings are even more present than on the previous album Estrela Acesa.

Sessa allows himself – and his audience – a few experiments, spinning off into some extra pirouettes. Remarkably, he conjured so much into this sound while becoming a father and barely knowing which way was up. At the same time, there were overflowing, almost cosmic emotions that wanted to be turned into sound – a process that lends this new album a particular depth.
