Mexican Summer is a Brooklyn-based record label, that is specialized in digital releases and limited vinyls records. Keith Abrahamsson and Andres Santo Domingo founded it and named it after a song of singer and songwriter Marissa Nadler. Maxican Summer started as sublabel of Kemado Records. When Kemado Records was specialized in rock music, Mexican Summer wanted distance themselves in regard to content with challenging pop music. With bands like Best Coast, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Washed Out or Real Estate it succeeded impressively in only a short time.
