Stella Zekri and Ed Longo are back — though in truth, they never really left. Following their debut EP Détends-Toi (2022) under the alias Stella, they took to the road and expanded their duo into a six-piece band: Stella & The Longos. In this new, multinational formation, they recorded their second album Amour Propre, out at the end of November on Cosmic Romance. The release party will take place on 4 December 2025 at the HHV Store in Friedrichshain — from 5 to 8 p.m., the band will perform live. An exclusive Transparent Yellow Vinyl Edition will also be available through HHV.
An act of self-respect
Zekri and Longo share a broad musical outlook — and it shows. Their music flows effortlessly between boogie, zouk, French 80s sounds and Afro-Caribbean influences. With the new band members’ input, the result feels even more organic. A quick glance at Berlin’s grey December skies should be reason enough to head to the release party — an act of amour propre, of self-respect.
