New discoveries and deep cuts from the fringes — the Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht has long been an institution for the good, the interesting, and the genre-defiant. The 2025 edition marks its 19th anniversary, and while it’s hard to measure this year’s lineup against previous editions, one thing is clear: the stakes have been raised. Four-day passes for the event, taking place from 6–9 November 2025, are already sold out — day tickets are still available, but not for long.
A who’s who of adventurous music
As always, part of the lineup is curated by artists themselves. This year’s curators include Amirtha Kidambi, Asher Gamedze, Edna Martinez, gyrofield, Lonnie Holley, Tianzhuo Chen, Valentina Magaletti and Ziúr — a list worth the trip alone.
Oh, and there’s a new feature this year: surprise performances. Each festival day will include a mystery act on one of the main stages. Meaning even the most deeply initiated music heads — the kind who already know every name on the poster — still have a chance to discover something new.
