*The Mighty Mocambos is a nine-piece funk and soul ensemble from Hamburg, Germany. Since the early 2000s, the band has been releasing music in the spirit of classic funk productions, often on the band’s own label, Mocambo Records. Collaborations with Afrika Bambaataa, Lee Fields and Ice-T as well as albums like Showdown (2015) and 2066* (2019) have cemented their reputation.
