The former Moloko frontwoman has been around for a long time – and hasn’t lost any of her freshness over the decades. Now, on September 8, 2023, she’s releasing another solo album, her sixth. »Hit Parade« will be released on Ninja Tune and was produced entirely by DJ Koze.
Imaginary studio and happy place
There are many reasons to look forward to the new album. Perhaps the most important: Róisín Murphy says she has never been happier in her life. Great, art like that from a positive place. The other crucial place for the album is an imaginary one. The one that came into being between DJ Koze and Roísín Murpyh in their collaboration via data transmission, »an airspace between Hamburg and London«. A place of creative freedom – for producers and artists. The result is music that is colourful and sprouts. Appropriately, a limited edition of only 400 copies on pink vinyl will be available exclusively from HHV.
