Thinking of visiting Marburg? Mark your calendar for 11–14 September 2025, when the third edition of the Marburg Jazzsommer will take over the city. Venues across town will host the performances – from TNT, Trauma and KFZ to Cavete, the Kunstverein and the Waggonhalle.
Not your average jazz festival
The line-up speaks for itself: Danish saxophonist Amalie Dahl will bring her trio Treen to the stage. Bex Burch presents a brand-new project – still untitled – in the form of a quintet featuring Petter Eldh (bass), Dudú Kouate (percussion), Laurel Pardue (violin) and Simon Popp (drums). Also featured are Mona Steinwidder, aka Museum Of No Art, and Enji, whose voice has been receiving widespread acclaim in recent months. The festival clearly steers away from the generic. Full programme details are available online.
