Jasmine Myra will present her third album, Where The Light Settles, on 8 October 2026 at the Berghain Kantine. The jazz saxophonist, who trained at the Leeds Conservatoire, is well connected within the local creative scene and is now based in London, transforms the tradition of spiritual jazz into a cinematic, wide-screen sound. The result is pleasantly unpretentious and delightfully nuanced: music in which there is always something new to discover.

Unpretentious and detailed
Following her previous albums Horizons (2022) and Rising (2024), she produced this album herself, with the support of Matthew Halsall. The head of the Gondwana Records label is also drawn to spiritual jazz as a musician. The album was recorded by a 15-piece orchestra. The result is a warm blend of sounds, bringing together jazz, folk and subtly incorporated electronic elements.
