Cid Rim announces his second album »Songs Of Vienna« on LuckyMe for October 15, 2021. It is the follow-up to the 2017 release »Material«, which was named »Album Of The Day« by BBC6 and honored with a Gilles Peterson Worldwide Award. Cid Rim, along with his friends Dorian Concept and The Clonious, is one of the defining figures of the Vienna music scene. The Austrian capital is also the central theme of this new album. Clemens Bacher, as his real name is, has been living in London for several years now and has thus found the distance to reflect on his hometown. »I’ve been thinking about my hometown: its history, comfort and security at a time when the world seemed volatile and my life was changing. I’m grateful for growing up there: the confidence it gave us to literally bring a ›scene‹ to life in the basements beneath all those historic institutions«, he is quoted as saying in the press release. Cid Rim approaches »his city« on a total of 11 songs, on which he will also sing himself for the first time, musically mixing as usual a wide variety of styles from Kosmische Musik, jazz, beats to club-based dance music. »Songs Of Vienna« will be released in a limited white vinyl edition at first.
