Clapper are back! The quartet from Aarhus is back with their second album Under The Radar , which will be released on May 23, 2025 on Super Bad Disco and our HHV label. Recorded live at the Radar Club in 2024, it contains all new material, with one exception: one track is a reinterpretation of a composition from the debut album On Tempo (2023). Rooted in classic fusion jazz but inspired by the modern sounds of Detroit and London, the album is a powerful update of the distinctive Clapper groove – between tight playing, melodic feeling and live power.
Beat-driven jazz without detours
Clapper is Jeppe Lavsen (guitar), Adrian Christensen (bass), Frederik Emil Bülow (drums) and Malthe Jepsen (keys). On track 5, Orhan Özgür Turan adds additional sound colors with his oud. The album was produced by Lavsen himself, mixed by Eric Lau and mastered by Emil Thomsen. Under The Radar sounds like a frenetic jam session with depth – between club energy and head cinema. A band that impresses live – and takes the studio with them.
