He’s one of those guys whose songs you know without always knowing they were written by him: Carsten Meyer. He is jointly responsible for the soundtrack to the great mockumentary Fraktus, he wrote the soundtrack to Tatortreiniger, has played club nights with DJ Koze and Cosmic DJ as International-Pony – has written one of the biggest German-language secret hits of the last 15 years with »Wann Strahlst Du?«. Now his new album comes as Erobique, simply titled »No.2«.
Holiday everywhere
»Thirteen versatile tracks and songs between holiday disco and rhythm box rave« lead listeners through landscapes and time periods, all of which Erobique charges with light-footedness and benevolence. Many old companions are also on board for this journey: among others, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band drummer Lukas Kochbeck sat behind the drum kit (sic!), Siriusmo was there, DJ Friction too, Sophia Kennedy sings.
