Five musicians, four dates, four cities, two drums and a whole lot of sound art are on the agenda when Fazer go on a short tour of Germany at the beginning of October. The Munich based quintet will be performing live on the small, intimate club stages of the big cities.
Drive and new departures
The reason for the tour is the release of their fourth studio album »Yahama«, which will be released via Squama on 27 September 2024. The tracks create a swirling sound of groove, jazz, indie and krautrock, with trombones, acoustic guitars and lots of percussion instruments creating this sonic texture.
The band worked on this album with a lot of passion and attention to detail. It was particularly important to them to play with the expectations of art and industry and to create their very own sound signature. While the title already sounds like dynamism and new beginnings, the tracks are more subdued and melodic. The record slowly unfolds its acoustic repertoire.
