We could see a different side of Kamaal Williams when he performs at Berghain in Berlin on October 4, 2023. There, together with violinist Stephanie Yu, he will present his new album “Sting”, which will be released on September 27, 2023 on Black Focus (digital only at first).

According to his own statements, the music of his third album, which was created during the Corona pandemic, is the result of isolation, reflection and spirituality. Claude Debussy played an inspiring role and a piano was an essential part of the creation process. But his roots in jazz as played in South London, with all the cross-connections to electronic beats (Williams began his career as a producer of house under his birth name Henry Wu) and to futuristic hip-hop, continue to shine through.
