Peace and Movement
»Similar to my first album, ›Rising‹ also reflects a stage in my life,« says Jasmine Myra about »Rising«. The album crawls out of the lockdown cave of the coronavirus era and into a new awareness of the present: »I have resolved to further strengthen my self-confidence.«

The album, released on Gondwana Records, rushes past the listener like a river: together with guitarist Ben Haskins, drummer George Hall, pianist Jasper Green, harpist Alice Roberts and bassist Sam Quintana, Myra’s compositions sweep along the banks, while the individual motifs glide playfully over stones and form small whirlpools. In this way, Jasmina Myra maintains a balance between stillness and movement and dreams of infinite possibilities.
